Alicia Islam is a driven designer with a passion for urbanism, humanism, and sustainability. She believes architecture should be human-centered and defined by the experiences needed of the spatial area based on stakeholder needs. 

Alicia is was a Designer at BRAVE/ located in Houston, Texas. Her tenure there includes master planning and designing for a private non-profit corporation, creating conceptual renders for public facilities, and serving as an advanced visual designer emphasizing VR walkthroughs. Before that, she was apart of Morris Architects focusing on educational projects. 

Alicia graduated Cum Laude from Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design at the University of Houston with her Bachelor of Architecture in 2016 and a minor in Energy and Sustainability. During her time there she participated in a studio with Thom Mayne of Morphosis out in Los Angeles in conjunction with SCI-ARC. She also collaborated with Habitat for Humanity in reimagining designs for low income homes in Houston and focused on exploring fabrication and parametric design as a student.
